Rev. Thomas Andrew “Tag” Green

Rev. Thomas Andrew “Tag” Green was born in Mansfield, Texas. Tag grew up in North Richland Hills, a suburb of Fort Worth, Texas. Tag graduated from Richland High School where he excelled in Football and was president of the Latin club.
Tag had a lengthy career in manufacturing and later sales. Tag is kind of a jack of all trades, master of none, has been a machinist, tool designer, and manufacturing engineer. The last twenty plus years of his secular career were spent selling metals prior to going into full-time ministry in 2018. In 2022 Tag re-entered secular sales employment and served bi-vocationally within the church since then.
Tag accepted a call into the ministry while attending his home church of First United Methodist Church of Hurst in 2015. God has provided Tag with many blessings and gifts. God has been preparing Tag for this call throughout his lifetime. God has taught Tag to teach, lead and build.
Finally, God opened Tag’s eyes and heart to God’s call for his life’s purpose. Tag’s spiritual God-given talents and gifts are many. God has taken yet a simple man lacking a distinctive education and taught him to lead, teach, and build. He now understands God has been calling or preparing him his entire life. God finally revealed in 2015 a vision of faithfulness to God’s word. Tag states: “God has spent my lifetime training me for this call. I have been thrust into leadership roles many times in my life. I have been given the ability to communicate ideas and messages. I am a builder of growth. I am a builder of inclusiveness and love.”
Tag’s favorite scriptures can be found in Galatians chapter 5 verses 22 thru 26; “22 By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things. 24 And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also be guided by the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, competing against one another, envying one another.”
Tag and Roseanna met in 2022, and the first date is a fun story. Ask Roseanna about it when you meet her. They love to travel, spend time with family, grill, and be outdoors. He enjoys golf and sports. Roseanna and Tag enjoy live music and experiences with family and friends. They would love to have coffee and/or a meal, and share time with each of you in the coming months.
