Looking to leave a lasting mark on Archer City First United Methodist Church? You might consider giving to the Endowment Fund.
The Endowment Fund was established in 2015 in hopes that we can provide on-going support for the future of our church. This is a permanent fund, and only its earnings will be spent. When funds are available and distributed, they will support projects above and beyond normal budgeted items.
Proceeds from the interest formed from the fund may:
- Enhance ministry/outreach
- Help maintain facilities
- Encourage us to be better stewards
- Help avoid conflicts over finances
- Provide a vehicle for giving
Endowment funds provide donors an opportunity to:
- Make a permanent gift from lifetime assets
- Provide on-going support for a favorite minstry
- Leave a legacy that will be remembered over time
Endowment funds show we believe:
- In the future of our church
- That what we have is a trust from God
- In building a sense of permanence in what we do
- In providing ministries that were once only dreams
- In continuing the heritage we enjoy for future generations
- In providing another opportunity for people to give
What kind of gifts can be made?
Some examples of gifts are:
- cash
- real estate
- personal property
- stocks and bonds
- life insurance
- planned gifts
No gift is too small! All gifts that are given are pooled into the fund, so even the smallest of gifts is significant.
